A Reading from Pope Silas on Love: I Guess This is It...

Who ever would have guessed?
Fifty years of roaming.
Years of loneliness.
Then there was you.

You render me speechless.
Your eyes melt my frozen heart.
Your voice opens my deaf ears.
Your love sustains my soul.

I've known you all my life.
Yet I don't know you at all.
You've been a part of me forever.
Yet we are just beginning.

Many will not understand.
Many will not approve.
Can we expect them to?
Yet can we expect anything less?

It matters not.
I love you.
You love me.
The rest will fall into place.

We've waited too many lives.
Sacrificed too many years.
We're back where we belong.
I guess this is it...

A Reading from Pope Silas on Love: We've Come Home

I feel it.
I know you do.
There's something neither one of us wants to face.
We have no choice.

Love transcends all.
As perilous as the journey ahead may be,
We have each other for support.
For friendship. For love.

But there is a wall.
We both have climbed it.
We're both afraid to jump.
We straddle along the edge.

I want the wall around us.
Not between.
I want the wall to be a foundation.
Not our weakness.

My walled heart is dead.
My loving heart lives.
The emptiness is gone.
We've come home.

A Reading from Pope Silas I on Love: I Know...

You know
I know
You know me so well
I know you so well

I can't hide from you
You can't hide from me
So what are we hiding from
Except ourselves?
